Everton have today confirmed they are still locked in talks with Juventus over a proposed loan move for midfielder Tiago Mendes, according to the Liverpool Echo newspaper.
Earlier reports had suggested the proposed move had collapsed amid suggestions the 27 year old snubbed a move to Goodison Park, but Everton remain hopeful that a 12-month loan deal can be agreed which would see the Portuguese midfielder join the club for an initial £850,000, with the option of purchasing the player for £8 million next summer.
