- We should have won that. Their goal was a gift, and Beckford had a good late chance, Fellaini also showed the same lack of awareness and could have had Beckford in too. Good point? No. Chelsea were woeful. We were, yet again, our own biggest enemy.
- Distin is just exceptional. I know I say it a lot, but I feel I have too because when he makes an error he gets pounced on like a 3 legged antelope in a lion cage. The man is exceptional, and when it comes to pure defensive ability, he outclasses even Lescott imo. Pace, power, nouse and he's always aware of what's around him.
- Baines is, without a shadow of a doubt, our best player. He's been my favourite for some time, but yet again today he shows his class. I honestly don't have the words to describe just how accomplished a footballer he is.
- Howard... Oh lord. Another few clangers, dropping the ball. Luckily they went unpunished, but yet again he's looked shaky.
- Beckford. I've faith in this guy now. Because he's clearly got it all, in terms of ability. He just needs to add more to his game, which will come with more experience in the PL. By that I mean he's not as assured as a top PL striker, and he doesn't bring others into play when he's near goal, he just opts to shoot, in a panic. If he sticks his head up a bit more, he could be quite the player. He's already shown a big improvement since signing, so long may that continue.
- Fellaini's a beast. You look at say, Heitinga, by comparison and the difference is staggering. Heitinga will win the ball, but not only will he win it less than Felli, but Heitinga doesn't have the calmness to pick out a player. He'll head it anywhere, whereas Felli will bring it onto his chest and either play a good pass, or run with it until he can.
- Saha. I'll give a tenner to anyone who'll either shoot him, or saw his legs off, because Moyes seemingly will never lose faith in that washed up piece of crap. He's an embarrassment to the shirt.
- Speaking of the shirt, that white one is just classy. It makes up for the pink abomination, for sure. It's just a cream dream, and I'd be lying if I said the sight of Distin in it didn't give me a semi.
All in all, I'm glad we didn't lose, but we yet again have ourselves to blame. Sunderland went out, and had at that Chelsea team. They won 3-0. We gifted them a goal, and up until then -- and for a while afterwards -- we just played it defensive, like some kind of lower league team in awe of the champions.
But they were poo, and thankfully we did go for it eventually, but due to already being behind and not being as clinical as we should have, I'm going to say that's 2 points dropped. We could have had them, then. We could have had them.
