Clutching at straws mate. Even if we only had £2m to spend, Moyes/Elstone/Kenwright would be very busy negotiating the best price we could get for a £2m player. If we had £10m, they'd be doing the same thing for a £10m player.

To be fair, that's the same 'we absolutely recognise the need to strengthen' tripe he was peddling last week.

More interesting is the info elsewhere in Everton forumland that 'parties' were being shown around Everton facilities over the weekend.

But unless Kirkby is dead there'll be no announcement of anything prior to the Autumn.

The straws I was referring too was questioning whether there is any info at all in the fact that we are looking at transfers. At times like these people go looking everywhere for information. We haven't denied it! We are looking at transfers! It must be us!
