I'll say the following:
1) Esk moves in those circles. He knows more than me of such things.

2) Often peoples wealth is not accurately reported.

3) There seems to be little to no reporting on the two major figures, or valuations that seem ludicrous. Like Thornton is worth 3m, when his bonus last year is reported at 10m.

The issue I'd say, is their wealth is unlikely to be liquid. It will be tied up in equities and real estate.

In your opinion, as you said you know him personally - sometimes harder to judge when you are close to someone mate, I don't, maybe we are both biased.
