A deal apparently worth Bill Kenwright’s asking price of £150m is rumoured (again, we can’t stress that word enough) to be close to completion.
No word of who is the potential buyer has been forthcoming, but if there is any substance to the rumours then we are sure it will be available over the next few weeks. We at NSNO know all too well about takeover talks that falter, and Bill Kenwright himself has said that several potential investors have fallen at different hurdles in the past, but we hope that this one can come off and give David Moyes the funds he needs in January to stay well away from never-had-it Blackburn midfielders.
