India pulling the strings as usual, forcing the expulsion of Bangladesh from the competition, Scotland talking their place. Pakistan refusing to play India is another problem that's yet to be resolved.

So, the competition starts on Saturday, with England playing against Nepal on Sunday, Scotland on Saturday. The three nil win against Sri Lanka will give some much needed confidence for England ; conversely, Australia has just lost badly against Pakistan. Still, it'll be the usual suspects contending the trophy.

It'll be interesting to see what the pitches do . The schedule :

After single round-robin matches in the group stage, the top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Eight round, while the remaining teams will be eliminated from the tournament.

In the Super Eight stage, the eight qualified teams will be split into two groups of four teams each. No points or results from the group stage will be carried forward.

Each team will face the other three teams in their Super Eight group once, with the top two from each group qualifying for the semi-finals.

The two semi-final winners will meet in the final to contest the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 title on March 8.

Pakistan have conceded/ forfeited their group game against India but what happens should they meet in the knockouts is anyone’s guess .
Such a shame politics has to enter sport
 
Not the biggest story but I am intrigued to see how Italy get on. Guessing they will just get battered in every match but interesting to see a completely new team involved.

England definitely have a chance but India must be the strong favourites.
