Sylvain Distin! Superb son!

I see Jags is getting lots of plaudits, rightly, he had a good game (arguably very good) but cannot agree more with the above comments. A big bloke that size and with that pace, I thought he set the tone for the defence early and the rest of them probably looked around and thought .. 'k me, sod all going to get past him tonight and the confidence exuded from there. In fairness the defence played well, United picked on each of them one-by-one .. end result, zero goals.

Bit concerned if Distin or Baines gets injured .. which other lefties do we have ?
That's deffo a position we need cover in. Maybe we could dip into the Championship for a player who won't come expecting to slot right in, but can be cover and one for the future.

PS: great post mate. Agree with the comment about the United team giving up after seeing Distin's performance!

Thanks for your messages and your concern guys. Just landed badly on my back so I m a bit bruised but it was worth it #COYB

He may be 34, but he is 10x the player Phillipe Mexes is. The fact he's never been called up for France is odd. That said, maybe it's for the best if he's not an international.

Another stellar performance from the big guy.

His consistency/availability from his second season on has been frankly superb, a real pleasure to have such an excellent player turn out for your side week on week.

Haven't you heard? All things French improve with age.

I imagine at 36 he'll be swatting crosses out of the air with his mind.

showed his commitment by seeing the game out and not going off like most players would have with a back injury .. the boy as you say is superb!
