GSK (head office Brentford - fcuking ace building, got a hairdressers, restaurants med centre with massage chairs in relaxation rooms and all kinds, nicest place I've ever worked) is a public company, anyone can buy shares. No government is listed as a major shareholder, but there's nothing to stop them investing per se.

GSK was formed (indirectly) from:

Smith, Kline and Co (renamed from Smith and Shoemaker in 1875)
Thomas Beecham Co (est 1859)
Joseph Nathan and Co (later Glaxo)
Burroughs Wellcome and Co (est 1880)

IMO it doesn't say its a hoax rather it is being blown up out of all proportion to the danger involved. I'm proof it isn't a hoax as I've had it
