Swearing Warnings?

But its your choice to go and swear. We have to accept this or were doomed…
Course it is. It’s also the clubs choice if they want to revoke your ticket or not.

Again, it’s not going to be for some simple light swearing. It will be for abusive language. And there is lots of language that crosses the line each week.

Just received an email from the club about suitable effing and blinding substitutes that CAN be used in the new stadium.

Two catagories:

1/ Terms pushing the envelope a bit but *just* acceptable

  • Mudsucker
  • Shut the front door
  • Bullfrog
  • Sugar butties

2/ Traditional cursing words - wholesome and preferable:

  • Dagnabbit
  • Gadzooks
  • Crikey
  • Balderdash

What the fudge...

just thinking about this and the video of the fella shouting about Sidibe getting over to cover him. I agree is a line with it on swearing also is going happen on moments. Have seen at the game the stewards been alot more active looking around and have seen them talking to fans

Please moderate your language please.

Most of them are are stood in accessibility bays for 90 minutes watching the match for f.a.

It's genuine.

The leaflets reference issues in the area - and so, the assumption is those who have the leaflet on their seat aren't necessarily the actual deviant.

I also assume if the club were confident on the offender, they'd warn them direct.

As is, the approach means those with the stickers are inevitably going to be tarnished by it directly, even if the issue is described to as the area.

If I was on the official fans forum, I'd be suggesting the club use their CRM to contact fans in those "areas" they refer to, rather than the name and shame vibe to it.

I get the club will need to react to complaints etc, but I'm not convinced that execution is the best.

Same clod headed thinking that dreamed up the headlock gate issue. It's pointing the finger and hanging someone out to dry that could be totally uninvolved. Better yet, with tickets not directly fixed, someone's first spec in BMD could be in a ticketed seat. The aura of suspicion applied to just anyone. Quite simply a third rate response. Ticket the lot or ticket none.

talk on twitter is that anyone getting these notices is not for swearing but for discrimination
It says on the stickers for foul and abusive language, so it's pretty easy to make the guess the assumption it's for 'discriminatory language'. Maybe the club need to make their stickers more specific.

I'd love it if they dropped these on the seats of a lawyer or two and they got legal on them.
