Sort of De-Caf Geordies.
I don't mind them.
I don't mind them.
The away end is in the corner nearest Sandhills station, so they`ll get a head start to get on the first trains after the match leaving our lot waiting in the cattle pen.Not long after we played them in the cup and had the whole end. They said it was like we were at home. They then changed the away fans up in the corner.
What a difference for the away supporters at BMD , don’t think the club could have sited them in a better position.
They are moving back to the original spot season 26/27,possibly.They now stick the away fans up in the upper tier, well away from the pitch, very like the barcodes do. Not sure when they started doing this. They had us behind the opposite goal when I was there a couple of times.
I imagine that they were moved up top to keep the away support a bit quite. It also meant having a lot of seats in the upper tier not used. They are moving back to the original spot season 26/27,possibly.
It's affected the atmosphere, away fans being stuck so high, the fans words, not mine.
I understand why this can be annoying for supporters, but why didn't we do it at the new stadium? We ought to be trying to gain any advantage possible, just as other clubs do when they do it.Now they're moving away fans back to the Lower Tier, I'm not against it.
Detest being boxed away on the upper tier at away games.

If they are willing to do it to us, we should give them a dose of their own medicine, so to speak.
To be fair, I never realised that so I am glad that I can finally put that suggestion to bed.Cause it got banned before we even stayed building the stadium.
Newcastle, Sunderland, Manchester Utd all managed to get blag letters from local police saying it wasn't safe to let fans out from lower course and got an exemption... which is obviously rubbish, because Sunderland are now planning on moving fans back to lower bowl, and prior to moving fans up there, had 25 years of them in the lower tier.
Had we done that, they'd have just told us no.

My thought was that if others do it, why not do it ourselves? In retrospect, one consideration is away supporters potentially throwing objects - if they are sat in the upper tiers, they could throw missiles at home supporters sat in the lower tiers (yes, I am aware that not all away fans are terrible but some are).
You know what, thats a great shout...Pickford was at the match last night![]()
