thought we looked nervous today....actually thought when went 1 up moyes started managing the team again...
performances don't matter now though, just the result, and that's another massive 3 points....its truely amazing what Martinez & the players are achieving...

McCarthy man of the match..

Sunderland's 24 home games this season, all competitions:

Sunderland 0-1 Fulham
Sunderland 4-2 MK Dons
Sunderland 1-3 Arsenal
Sunderland 2-0 Peterborough
Sunderland 1-3 Liverpool
Sunderland 1-2 Man United
Sunderland 2-1 Newcastle
Sunderland 2-1 Southampton
Sunderland 1-0 Man City
Sunderland 3-4 Chelsea
Sunderland 1-2 Tottenham
Sunderland 2-1 Chelsea
Sunderland 0-0 Norwich
Sunderland 1-1 Aston Villa
Sunderland 3-1 Carlisle
Sunderland 2-1 Man United
Sunderland 2-2 Southampton
Sunderland 1-0 Kidderminster
Sunderland 1-0 Stoke
Sunderland 0-2 Hull
Sunderland 1-0 Southampton
Sunderland 0-0 Crystal Palace
Sunderland 1-2 West Ham
Sunderland 0-1 Everton

They've only been beaten by more than a single goal in three of them, two of those times earlier in the season when their situation was different.

We really shouldn't be feeling discontent about the scoreline today. It was never going to be a walk over.

First time since I was in junior school that with 5 games to go I can say we can still mathmatically win the league. Hindsight is wonderful but what a shame that we dropped those 6 points pre the arrival of McCarthy, Barry and Lukaku.

Onwards and upwards
Can you imagine it Darth....if we had taken those six points (considering that we had dominated those three games) and taken the three points at home to Sunderland when Howard was sent off and we still dominated...we would be top of the league!
