Away to Barnsley today. A place I think I may have been to 5 times in the past. Some great memories of massive away crowds.

When we came up with given in goal we had around 8,000 and I remember given being outstanding that day.

Also, a place where Dominic mateo played when he shouldn't have and we got away with a fine when i think we should have maybe had a points deduction and if we had i think we might have gone down to the 3rd division, again. We didn't and Reid kept us up.

I think as my memory isn t once what it was.:hayee:

Smash 'em for me mate. My brother in law is a Barnsley fan (season ticket holder) and nothing gives me more delight, than him being piped right down.
He once announced, in all seriousness, that we should sign John (Aldo) Aldridge from Tranmere!!!
He's a weapon of the highest order and I would be most grateful if his Saturday is ruined...thanks.

Remember going there for one match and there was mayhem after it,could have been a cup game,they had loads of lids wearing deerstalker hats,a good few wearing aviator hats with goggles like Biggles wore and an Asian hoolie with a Burberry turban on strange bunch

Can't see any quick return for you lot,no money,no players to sell,owner not interested
Any team that classes O Shea and Cattermole as club legends are in deep trouble,2 players who spent years plodding along until the last few matches of the season,would have been better getting shut and trying kids once it was clear you were dropping

Where do you think they will bottom out @jaycee ? Championship or League One?

Seen a couple of their matches mate and the are going to struggle unless they get a few players in,which I cant see happening,could easily drop again doesnt matter who is managing them the same problems will be there

Seems a club rotten from its very core and all the way out. Very little (if anything) positive. Even James Vaughan is being dragged down.

Perhaps going down to League One (likely) or Two (medium term possible if unlikely) would help ; get rid of management, virtually every player and some fan groups that will naturally drift away and try and rediscover the old Reid / Quinn / Phillips days of fighting spirit
