Halves the work in recruitment, on a free - so relative minimal cost on a short term basis, PL/European proven, set pieces, allows another permanent right full to be bedded in and kicks the can on the need to recruit a second long term cover for a different window.

Id be open minded on it to, if he was one of a new 2 right fulls.

I like both as players, but o don’t like Idrissa and Garnr as a combo if tha makes sense.

I’d like us to move on from Gana in the summer. Good servant , we need to start looking at different options.

It’s seems we always play catch up with ourselves in the summer transfer windows and perhaps keep some players who maybe should be let go. If Seamus is kept on again and I like him as well, it will be a farce imo.

Not trying to tempt fate, but looking at those coming up from the championship this year (not the usual yo-yo lot). I’d like us to take more of a punt on the younger (but not Dibling young as that was clearly pointless) player pool. Have a year of progress with them rather than going for your pre retirement pool.

Can’t say I disagree with any of that mate.

“I feel like this mate, but when i gave it a bit thought, i came down at the point that we have to move on from comfort blanket players (and i think we have a few) next year or at least start and transition the squad.

To put that in context i mean moving on from players who are fine and trying to improve it - im talking about lads who are all heart but with limits or wrong profile.....im thinking Beto, Myko, McNeill, Idrissa, Patterson, Coleman, Keane, and maybe even Tim and JT - these lads are great pros, servants and 9 times out of ten you can hang your hat on them and no one really dislikes them in the main - but we aren't going to improve over the next 5 years with them either IMO.

I think we have to be ruthless and make some tough and maybe unpopular decisions.”
