I agree on getting rid of Iroegbunam and Alcaraz, both of them are top half of the Championship players. I would keep Gueye as long as he doesn't start every week although I'm guessing he wants to which might be part of the sticking point with his contract.

We have literally no chance of getting Alex Scott because a)Bournemouth are better than us, and in Europe, b)He'll be wanted by bigger clubs than us and, c)We couldn't afford him, they'll be looking for £80 million. Annoying thing is we were linked with him before he went there but as usual didn't sign him.

I agree that Scott would be very difficult for us to acquire but if we go early and make him ( or another top quality midfielder) an offer of good wages and a central place in our ‘project’ then he might come. I think upgrading midfield is (nearly) as important to upgrade as right back and centre forward.
