Summer transfer window.

He said "one or two quality players".

So hopefully the priority right back hunt now is underway:

Oscar Mingueza - Free
Michael Kayode - Brentford
Wesley - Roma
Josh Acheampong - Chelsea
Marco Palestra - Cagliari
Givairo Read - Feyenoord

Get one in pronto and fans will feel a weight lifted.
I assume they are all very young
What we need are two defensively capable , pacy overlapping full backs who are oven ready and experienced ( not necessarily PL ) in the 24-28 age group
Moyes won’t play young payers regularly

Don't think we should go for him but don't think this season is a fair reflection as he hasn't played much. Season before that at Ipswich is more representative
When he was on loan at Hull City he was playing well until he got injured and went back to City. A recurring event for the lad which I think will be his defining feature.

Having missed out on Europe... we will be getting whoever's left after half the Premier League have had their pick. I very much doubt we will be in with any chance of signing any high profile players....

'Everyone' loves Pickford.

I was one of the first saying we should sign him from Sunderland.

I also said we should have sold him and reinvested in a younger keeper like Verbruggen (Brighton).

He's 32 now and if Chelsea came in for him its a situation where we could rinse them for a decent bit of cash and go and buy the next superstar keeper.

Or we keep Pickford until he retires.

I do get your point mate, and in general every player should have a price. But I would have serious doubts on our ability to replace Pickford.

Ball sounds like hes had a few here.

Did he not count the near £150mil spent on players Moyes doesnt all utilise?

Please Mr Friedkin, give me some more to spend on talent I wont play.

This is why I just don’t think the team is going to change that much next season.

He’s not breaking up the CB unit so it’s two from four of O’Brien Branthwaite Tarkwoski and Keane. Unless he gets a dinosaur like Trippier he won’t play the right back over OBrien so it’s really two out the remaining three for CB.

Unless the left back is prem proven and experienced (which we won’t pay for) he’s going to still play Mykolenko

Garner and KDH are guaranteed starters. He doesn’t start any of Alcaraz Rohl Armstrong in midfield so why would we buy another midfielder especially when we have Iroegbunam and if Gueye extends he’ll just play him every match anyway.

If he gets Grealish the flanks will be Grealish and Ndiaye every single game.

It’s only the striker position we might change but we’ll end up selling Beto or Barry and buying someone who is a slightly better donkey in Delap or Toney for big money.

Nothing is going to change because Moyes will not play a young player without much prem experience over and older player.

The summer transfer list probably reads something like:

RB: Trippier, WAN Bissaka, Ben White
LB: Chilwell, Luke Shaw, Malick Diouf
MFs: Grealish, Hackney, Soucek.
ST: Toney, Delap

The committee might force another player on him and he just wont play them.
