It’s amazing how Bournemouth and Brighton seem to have scouts across the globe and ours just seem to target fringe players from the sky 6.

It's not surprising at all to me considering Moyes has a say in recruitment and he values PL experience. It does concern me though that we give it the big 'un about having a huge backroom recruitment team that is supposed to be making the club future-proof and up to date with world football and we are still allowing a manager to dictate the PL experience guff, especially if it's leading to our average age slowly creeping up.

The mad thing is some of his best signings (Cahill, pienaar, arteta, Fellaini) had no pl experience before joining us. It frustrates me that he has gone more pl experience dependent as he’s gotten older.

??? What? I’ve defended him and the job he’s done over two spells more than most on here. I’m just not blinkered enough to ignore his flaws. He’s talked up experience and awful lot, and talked down young players an awful lot, about how it will benefit them to sit on the bench and “learn”. I could totally and realistically believe he’d opt for a Soucek over a Hackney, there’s evidence behind it.

Jarrod Bowen is not worth £60m, I would wince at paying £30m for him if I’m completely honest. If we’re paying £60m for 30 year olds then we have learned nothing from the Moshiri years and will be back in that hole in a matter of time.
