Summer transfer window.

fair point, cant recall him playing a free roaming purely playmaking kind of 10
I think the days of 10’s in the mould of Ozil/James are gone tbh (if that’s the type you’re talking about)

The modern 10 often tends to lead the press and has proficient defensive skills.

The days of luxury players seem to be coming to an end.

Spurs of course went for Eze & then Simons for the 10.

MGW at Forest is a 10.

I wonder if its coming back into fashion although judging by Forest and Spurs results maybe not lol

Center midfield (all 3 spots) and center back are our two strongest positions and we’re well covered.

CB: Bran, Tark, O’Brien, Keane
CM: Gana, Garner, Rohl, Tim, Armstrong, KDH, Alcaraz

Need to work on the fullback, winger and striker situation. Winger isn’t bad either if we can bring Grealish back then we’ll just need a McNeil/George replacement.

I think we should move Tim on as well. Not good enough and we create space on the roster. Probably would get a decent fee for PSR as well since he is still young and didnt cost too much.
Don’t ever use the word roster in a football context again if you expect to be taken seriously. There’s no earthly reason to move Tim on. He’s put in some excellent performances this season and should establishing himself as a starter next season.

We need another centre half with pace and ball playing ability and get rid of Keane or Tawks

Money just isn't the type of compensation that it used to be within the PL. You can very easily spend 50 - 100 million and do nothing but downgrade, and before you know it, you're in a West Ham, Spurs, and Everton until very recently situation.

Ndiaye has three years left on his contract and is clearly happy at Everton. He won't rock the boat. So it's all down to how TFG want to play it? Garner's got four years left on his contract, and United won't pay what we would correctly ask for with regards to him. United will have other targets and aren't going to obsess over Ndiaye and Garner imo.
