That would be a unbelievable price if true, we do need to take into consideration he is 28, I wouldn't want to go and that much of 16-17m for him but he has at least four years at his best level and to pay only 10m pounds for a player of his ability at that level would still be an absolute ripper signing.

lukaku score around 20 with a very uncreative midfield who refuse to play through ball to him last season.

Merten can easily provide 10 to 15 assist directly or indirectly. I would imagine if half of them slip into the path of lukaku, 30 goals is not impossible.

Not seen much recently, but he doesn't have the skills of Mirallas, but has a better work rate and better 'pain in the a$$ to defenders' factor.

Anyone reckon the club may have done there little trick of bogus enquiries that will never happen and leaking stuff to the press when it comes to we are after big names.
After some bad publicity to the board thelast few weeks if we don't end up getting a playmaker or a number 10 then the board can say 'we were looking at this and that player but we couldn't get them over the finish line' its fantastic ambition getting linked with the likes of Shaqiri & Mertens but wether they are genuine is a bigger question.

He's more Pienaar than Mirallas, I'd say. But he is a bit quicker than Pienaar, can beat a man and scores more goals
