Time is no consequence ,he replaced Hibbert ...fact.
Completely different circumstances .....Fact.

We had neville and hibbo as the first choices and coleman played a year as a right mid for him to get up to speed with the league before he eventually took over the role a couple of seasons later.

Bryam has had only a season or two of looking decent but still not as ready as some think, would be a big gamble to throw him in as a direct replacement, would rather go for better.

No problems with him coming in as understudy to coleman though if he stays

True mate Coleman has also played left back, crucified in Portugal one dreary night.
But the point is Coleman is possibly the best right back in the prem (when his heads not being turned)
Byram could be the very same in the right circumstances.

Who's arsed, the more the better. For so many years we've been down to the bare bones with the squad at times its nice having a bigger squad, pretty sure we'll see garbutt go out, and probably Ty and Galloway will have spells out on short term loans. One or two permanent out too

Browning, Galloway and Stones aren't among the hypothetical 25 as they're born after January 1 1994.

Anyway, I can't say I'm too bothered by it, just found it interesting. Having that many mouths to feed could be an issue, as could the lack of immediate flexibility in January in case of an emergency. The big surprise would be the board approving the wage bill.

Coleman had one full season at RM and one season at RB at Blackpool before he displaced Hibbert the following season.

There is a video circling on Twitter albeit 2 seconds long that shows Coleman giving the thumbs up to a manc who asked if he was going there this summer...might be totally out of context mind.

Iirc the Byram deal fell through the January we bought stones because of the pure ache we caused during the signing of garbutt - a lot has happened over there since mind.

Andy Hunters track record is only just credible, he's had some howlers before.

Freelance Foz made his way onto this forum last summer by 'calling' the inevitable and said Barry was signing Permantly, less then 48 hours later that Peter O'rourke from Sky tweeted it.

If the McGeady rumours are true, brilliant, Lennon in to replace and we are laughing - I don't know how keen Celtic will be to not only take him back, but to somehow part with Van Dijk in the process.

A story that hasn't had much coverage on here is Mirallas to Spurs, a lot of mainstream media are pushing this...too me it doesn't make sense, they are similar in the fact they are 'nearly men' (okay the added money and they usually finish higher then us aside) doesn't make much sense as to why he'd be attracted there and it seems they are the only team with credible interest...I hope we keep hold of him because I feel like we won't get a necessary replacement for him if he does. However it looks like Spurs are toying between our Kev and Konoplyanka, which is a shame because he is a serious talent - it does look like they are heading for the latter.

Belgians have a tendency to think they are better then they are, which makes me think we will sell Kev this summer and Rom next, I'm sure Rom likes it here but he has a notorious agent who loves a pay day, unfortunately no one is going to pay 40 odd million for a 22 year old who hasn't necessarily set the league alight.

In addition, it seems as if we will be shedding the skin of our U21 once again. It's been touted that Henen (when signed) Galloway and Browning will be loaned if they have guaranteed playing time in Championship league 1. I don't know where the Garbutt deal stands in regards to his contract and the loan following it due to Bournemouthbsigning Mings

Lukaku and Mirallas are both represented by the same agent, as is Henen so we have more of it to look forward to it he comes good.

Think you have a point about the current crop of Belgians though, maybe the golden generation tag is going to their heads the way it did with England.

I'd be disappointed if Ty had to drop down to league one, his performance vs Liverpool got overhyped (Everton fans over hyping a youth? Surely not) but he showed enough to at least get a gig at a decent championship club, even if it meant playing at RB fosomeone like Burnley who have lost trippier, would prefer that to cb in l1

This wont be popular but I rate McGeady more then Lennon. Initially came in mid year and completely lacked match fitness. Last season he had a terrible run with injuries which prevented him from finding form.

Besides I can't see Martinez selling McGeady when Osman and Pienaar are on their last legs. McGeady is a Martinez buy, will get given an opportunity to prove himself.

If you can't see the difference Lennon made on the pitch for us last season, then you are blind.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate on McGeady like some do on here, but he's never made the sort of impact over a stretch of games like Lennon did.

Lukaku is no longer represented by that agent. I wonder when the club will announce the Henen deal, by all accounts it seems done and dusted and is just missing a fancy ribbon.
Waiting till the end of the Austria training camp?
