I would not dismiss the Scot Dann episode just yet...assuming that Everton do have a genuine interest in the player.
If the player and his family really do want to move back to the North West he can make it happen.
It wilil mean forcing the deal through and making a lot of people angry and disappointed. All we have to do is remember back to the Joleon Lescott transfer.

Let's watch for credible alternatives or listen for unhappy noises from Crystal Palace.

Let's wait until it makes the UK press mate.

We've been linked with him on and off over the last 12 months, so it may well just be lazy journos turning the handle on the same old rumour. If it gets picked up here it'll probably do so within the next 24 hours. I'd wager The Metro will be the first, but they're eminently ignorable.

Great post. Exactly why we saw the poor level of performance week in week out last season. There was not enough competition for places all over the park. Howard (only in Martinez's eyes) Coleman, lukaku just walk into the team due to no competition to push them, irrespective of how they were performing. Forget this 'squad' talk,any player signed for the club should be with the intention of improving the first team, not filling out the squad.

Well, they are going to be back up aren't they... as Stones and Jags will be the starting pair. They'll just be a player who is good enough to step up when needed and keep the pressure on for high performances.
