Scott Dann was the highest scoring Palace defender in fantasy football points last season, if that helps! 105. 7 less than Wes Morgan though, just to make it relative.

I'd be very happy with Scott Dann. I was scared we wouldn't be getting a defender in. We missed a physical presence in defence last year and it's not as if he'll come in and replace stones/ jags- he'll be a Distin type signing I think. Hope the rumours are true myself.

Sounds like Roberto has finally acknowledged a few home truths here, nothing wrong with having a defender's defender who might prevent a repetition of some of the awful goals we conceded from within the six yard box last season.

I think he's more an immediate replacement for Distin and Alcaraz. Nothing to do with Stones.
