He is. But I reckon there's something in this link.

Christ knows why.
Nothing wrong with that per sè - Peter Reid was a red as a kid and he turned out ok. So was Dave Watson.

On this, every single suggestion doesn't need to have a link or quote, as long as there appears to be some basis in fact.

Eg. No one has any substantial link to Micah Richards, but it was on BBC Radio last night. For me, that's ok.

Same for Deulofeu, etc.

^^^ This
But don't drag stuff up from months ago. If it ain't recent, stick it in the other thread.

Payet must be the best realistic player we've been linked with.. I really hope the interest/rumours don't fizzle out as he's genuinely a player who would bring a lot to the team.

A Goal journalist Robin Bairner (I know Goal are horrific but any extra information on our interest wouldn't hurt), has said that Payet would need to be a high bid to be sold due to the other OM players that have been shifted already.

Didn't know that about Reid.

West Ham after Payet now

The France international is the third Marseille man linked with the Hammers this summer. Andre Ayew was rumoured to be on his way to the club before he opted to move to Swansea, and Andre-Pierre Gignac is still considering his options. The Telegraph report that West Ham have now expressed interest in Payet and he could become their second major signing of the summer after the acquisition of Pedro Obiang from Sampdoria. Unlike Ayew and Gignac, Payet is still under contract with Marseille and he could command a sizeable price tag.

....yep, I have to admit to liking transfer rumours. It's the aspirational stuff that I'm less keen on because it's somebody's wish list rather than anything with even tenuous substance to it.

So unless I am mistaken, every player available is basically linked with most clubs so the "experts" in the press can claim to get it correct in the end?

Same here.

It's enough to do your head in, isn't it?
