Be nice to get one "exciting" signing - Kubo or Luiz would fit that bill whilst being very good on top.

I see things developing on a more pragmatic basis and there's nothing wrong with that either but there is a great buzz when you get an established player in, that can excite, and someone that isn't on their last legs at the same time.

Pragmatic probably gets us top half but no higher. We want to be able to dream (at least until we find ourselves in the bottom 3 after 6 games)

At which point do we start to worry? 6 months to look at players and yet we still at the enquiry stage. Starting the season badly because of the squad situation would be for me unforgivable. We have started badly in the last few seasons which meant that we couldn't really fight for anything else than safety.

I can live with Longstaff as backup providing we also bring Luiz (or someone of similar ilk) in. Likewise I can live with Harrison as backup providing we bring in a Kubo or Zhegrova. Some of the other names doing the rounds are proper meh though, I'm hoping we have a secret list somewhere.

Suppose Luiz played with the likes of Mcginn who was the reliable as opposed to Champs LG quality type . Would Longstaff be in that same reliable yet uninspiring category too?

The Keane & Coleman extensions along with some horrific links point to there being a secret list, within a secret list.

Just hope theyre close to finding where Thelwell left it.
