The club needs to be making moves quickly, the longer it goes on without any movement, the more concerning it will become for the fans who will get the impression that money for a rebuild of sufficient quality - ie. to have us challenging for Europe which has to be the aim given how tight the league is - is not there.

I would be genuinely horrified if the speed of negotiations was dictated by how many fans were wetting their knickers because they weren’t getting their fix of information

In fairness, everybody knows the benefits of signing players early, and the disadvantages (look at our horrific season starts in recent times) of shopping late and picking up panic buys. Hopefully the plan is on track and players will be rolling through the doors in the coming weeks.

Good player to rotate for Mykolenko.

Also, gives the ditherer a season or two to find a young player to sign.

I agree 100% mate that we should be making deals as early as possible. I just don't agree that those deals should be announced straight away just to feed social media’s voracious appetite. I would be absolutely buzzing if we just unveiled five or six players on a single day. I think this window will cement (or destroy) the trust we have in the competence of the new regime. If we end up with a number of good signings, then maybe fans will lessen the constant anxiety about media silence. Fingers crossed

People will talk about these linked players for ages and then we will sign someone that wasn't even mentioned once. The rumours are 99 percent nonsense and not worth even listening to.
