Seeing Jeremy Doku against Wales last night was so revealing. He was literally unplayable, attacking the defenders and running at speed all game long, something you rarely see him do at city these days. Something Grealish also ‘used to do’ before getting conditioned in the Pep style.

Makes me wonder if McAtee would thrive in a club like ours or has he been too conditioned in the ‘city way’? I worry watching Foden for England.. can’t seem to adapt to different styles of play. Would McAtee be the same?

Think would be a great move tbh really talanter player, get what you mean but because more training with teammates than internationals would be able to adapt.

If we’d have re-signed them you’d be moaning that we are paying them too much. Literally can’t win. Everton have offered terms and have not budged. This is a positive thing.

I wouldn’t want any of them, it’s just funny (& a relief) that they’re not interested in staying either.

So at which stages do we start to panic...with 13 contracted first team players right now? I presume pre season will start around July 4rd or there about. And is the new ownership immune of any criticism? Some people are saying they need to be given time...they are in control since the end of December, so just under 6 months.

He might be a symbolic signing showing our improvement. A player walking away from a car crash to join Everton rather than leaving a club to join a car crash.
