Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Whats the comparison?

Grealish on loan VS Soucek 3 or 4 yr deal

I'd take Grealish on loan all day long.
I have to say this is the most relatable and sensible thing I have seen you submit onto this forum….. ever!

It’s obvious that we need someone who can carry the ball forward at a good pace and create out of nothing. Grealish would give us this, and for a season loan it gives us the time to find his replacement

Nice work!

I would be very happy with PL loans of Grealish and someone like Sancho too if we could get them on massively reduced wages.

To me they both have a point to prove and that’s where Moyes excels usually.

It would also mean we could go big on a striker like Barry or Woltemede. Potentially both if we sold Beto to Italy.

Essentially it would give us the option of an attacking front three of

Grealish, Sancho, N’Diaye, Barry/woltemede with McNeil as backup.

For me we would then just need a central midfielder, Right back and a few cheaper backup players on a free (KWP, Brownhill, Fabianski etc)

Absolutely no thank you

Any youth players looking decent enough to step up?
No mate,
Can't see it myself, few might be ready a year or so away Graham possibly a spot on the bench for a few is the best we can hope for the others that look half decent might need a loan to get a bit of experience.
Some of the young forwards look like they could fall into that category.
The youth set up needs an injection of players with a bit more quality.

Id have sancho because i think hes youre typical player that needs the arm around him and moyes could do that.

But grealish? Im not too keen on. Seems like the type of lad whos done it all and lost his drive. Just wants to live his life up and maybe play a bit of football on the weekend and i honestly dont think you can do anything with that.

Obviously this is not taking into account of theor wages like

I won’t labour the point, but I hate the way our recovery is said to be so far away that it’s going to take 500 billion pound to resolve and won’t occur for at least another five years. Meanwhile, Villa and Forest have somehow managed to eclipse the mighty midtable Brighton and secure European football in less than 12 months, with it being Champions League qualification in Villa’s case.

I think KWP is a bit crap tbh. The only reason people are harping on about him is because he’s free and has a double-barrelled surname. I think and hope that we will be looking for much better than KWP.

To add to this list possibly Isaac Heath, and the lad with the double barrel surname whose name escapes me that we got from Wimbledon are the only other decent ones but also not PL ready.

Hence why we possibly went for Cadamarteri's lad as there needs to be an influx of talent.

One thing we need to start doing regular is getting players out on loan earlier and if they're not up to snuff for PL flipping them to league 1/2 teams to get the money in.

Hopefully there's some hope for Armstrong he's played proper man's footy for half a season at the right age. Personally unless he's really come on and ready for the first team next season and going to actually play I'd send him out to the championship again for a full season

Transfer Window #1 closes tomorrow?

This gets labelled at every Striker over 6 foot. Very lazy.

Anyway, Barry involved with French u21’s in the upcoming championship so we can all have a closer look at him. If he plays that is. Ekitike also involved I believe so not sure how many minutes he’ll get.
Just saying what I see. I don’t see much ability there.
Would happy to be proven wrong if he comes to Everton and scores 20 a season though.
