Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I see Jobe Bellingham is going to Dortmund for a reported 32 million ponds. I have seen him 5 or 6 times this year and this price tag shocks me, if this is the going rate for a Championship player our 70 to 100 million pounds isn't going to go very far
100 millions to spend nowadays in the pl is nothing...you would expect at least one of the promoted side to spend that just to stay in the league. TFG would have to spend twice as much if they want us challenging for the European places...

I mean I agree, but it would be big for us who are used to not spending anything net.

And had we have had Moyes for the entire season, we would have been close to the CL spots, before spending any money

I'll admit I have very little clue about the financial permutations, but I could see Grealish being a great fit for us in terms of temperament. I think he'd galvanise a lot of our attacking players and quickly become a fan favourite.

I like what I've seen of Barry too. Them two together would be far more exciting than the prospect of Delap and Doak.
Dont fully agree cos atleast with doak is something we need pace out wide on the wings. But ofc grealish a step up in the center for me

Yeah, he’s a very promising talent, but still very raw. Very surprised he went for that much. Sunderland have done well getting that. I can’t see him starting any time soon for Dortmund (famous last words considering what his brother did there) but it’s a lot for a development guy from the second tier

Sorry Mate not having a go, but what does a “roster spot” mean.
It probably means I'm American and don't always say things the right way, so I reckon the roster would be the squad list. Patterson came in as a 19 year old with very little experience in the Scottish Premiership, but doesn't seem to have been managed or developed while here. He just seems to exist in the squad like a third or fourth keeper.

Get used to it...

Patterson has had some chances to play although his Everton career has been blighted by injury.

Sadly he hasn't developed or learnt how to defend.

Time for him to move on.
