Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

The Chris Rigg ‘Sunderland Sensation’ has scored four goals in the Championship this season, and not a single goal this side of Christmas.

2 + 2 =10 with the kdb links...

But if there's even 10% chance he'd come here on reasonable terms we'd be crazy not to take him for a year or two...

Hamez type signing, raises our profile internationally and would allow us to bring in a younger option with time to adapt without instant pressure

I didn't take my eyes off him on Saturday and his football brain even now is absolutely streets ahead of everyone.

He was a joy to watch.

Getting worried about Moyes's influence on transfers. Seems he's convinced the new owners that we don't need Thelwell. We're signing an unknown Scottish CH - where's that come from if we don't have a DOF? One of his Scottish mates? We're nailed on to sign a 30 year old Soucek and pay him over £100k pw. An average player very similar to Doucoure and that means there's no chance of signing a skilfull number 10. KDB seems to be hinting he'd be interested in us - he says he has to take into account his family in his next move which means he will stay in the area if he can and came out and praised Everton fans. But would Moyes want a player like him? Doubtful as he rigidly plays a 451 with 2 hard working central midfielders, 2 hard working wingers who have to track back and an advanced midfielder whose main role is pressing the opposition defence (Doucoure/Soucek). As a result the focus is not on creativity. And he keeps talking nonsense about the fact that he knows what Everton fans want in a player suggesting we all want players who run about giving 200% effort. No we don't! We want to see exciting players with flair and creativity. Don't expect us to be signing players like that any time soon.
Kin ell, season is still ongoing and transfer some way off yet, but you’ve gone early here, ahead of silly season. Soucek is ‘nailed on’ KDB is ‘interested in signing for us’ and don’t expect us to be signing any players with creativity. Gonna be a long old summer for you, if your heads already fallen off in April.

Will be a system put in place imo wont be done by the summer can see us adding more during the next couple of years. It wont just be moyes running everything. Tfg have reportedly wanting us to improve the youth set up just becuase thelwell had left does not mean that scouting will stop. The work has most likely been done on the young cb we have signed and has impressed.
Welcome to my world. Moyes track record has been shocking for a decade.
Bit of an over reaction to say shocking for a decade, has made some good signings aswell ofc not everything works out.

...we haven't brought in or confirmed the people who'll be signing the players yet, we don't know how much we'll have to spend and we most likely won't be doing anything until the psr period is over at the end of June.

We haven't even sorted out contracts for players here so they don't know how many they'll need to buy.

Take every rumour with a massive pinch of salt until July.

Habib Diarra

It is not just Gueye who is coming to the end of his deal on Merseyside, with Abdoulaye Doucoure in the same boat.

As players look set to leave, L’Equipe have provided some encouraging news as RC Strasbourg would green light Habib Diarra’s exit this summer.

It is claimed Everton are one of the clubs who are showing a keen interest in the 21-year-old Senegal international.

The Toffees are not alone, however, with Brighton and Hove Albion also placing Diarra on their radar.

Diarra has three years remaining on his deal. So, he would not come cheap, but Strasbourg are not looking to stand in his way.

Everton have been mooted as a landing spot for Kevin De Bruyne, and although that remains incredibly unlikely, a swoop for Diarra may now be on.

It will be interesting to see whether Gueye’s future at the club could play a role in this as he could help recruit his fellow countryman to join.
