If Keane goes I wouldn’t mind Lindelof as a replacement 3rd or fourth choice CB on a free. People will complain but he’d be an upgrade on what Keane is offering (who wouldn’t be) and would fix a position without us shelling out if funds are still constrained. He might want to stay in the region and the prem as well.

Lamptey or KWP would be better than Coleman or Young. Again they’re not glam names but strengthen the squad for no upfront outlay.

I think we should put whatever budget we have towards stars. Put it all on two or three attacking players or a star midfielder. That means we might have to be creative with frees and loans elsewhere to plus squad holes.

I think Lindelof's wages are even more obscene than Keane's, as a 3rd oor 4th choice, that's far too rich for us. I don't think he's much better than Keane anyhow.

I'm not worried at all Eggs. If Branthwaite is going it would be negligent not to have a replacement lined up.

If Keane goes a back up centre half, in defence i would be happier if we were looking at full backs only really. A powerful box to box midfielder, a fast skilfull right winger with goals in him and a striker who scored goals for starters.

….its obviously inevitable but it’ll be a big blow if it’s this summer. With the contract mess he’s been left with and all the re-building having to take place, I think Moyes would love to have some stability next season in that key area.

Me too, it isn't the worst position to be in is it? If he goes we would have additional funds to build a proper team. If he stays we have one of the best CBs in the country.

Also, I expect we could sell him for the same amount in 4/5 seasons time.
