So it seems comparing the signing of Gnonto to Kean has rattled a few cages and of course the race card has been played by the hard of thinking.

I’ll make it simple for you -
Young Italian striker.
High expectations.
Will be carrying a lot of weight on his shoulders.
Not exactly what we need right now.
Spending money on potential rather than the finished article.

Hope that helps the halfwits who feel the need to get angry over nothing.

I though it was you viewed Leeds at the same level as Juventus, ignoring that one was a pampered brat who thought he was too good for us to work hard, whilst the other was playing in the Swiss league 16 months ago.

Potential for 9.5m isn’t as big a risk as potential for 20m, I mean I thought that might be obvious.

Gnonto is too big a fee for a player with potential, especially with our limited funds.

If you buy someone who has the potential to be Brett Angel you’d expect to pay the same as someone who had the potential to be Pele? Different levels of potential cost different amounts of money… but you knew that because this is also patently obvious, right?

Is it weird that I don’t want Gray to leave. I think people forget he’s hardly been played by Dyche but when he’s on it he’s probably the only player we have who can carry the ball forward. Worldy goal against Arsenal, Man City, good finish through on goal against Liverpool, great cross for Dom’s header that kept us up. I think he’s under rated and I think losing him is a mistake.
Gray isn’t perfect by any means, but he will also be useful in a sense. Teams cannot leave him open. You have to mark him. In that respect he will always be of value- and to be honest he worked hard at striker as well. Better option than Maupay, but if we can get a price for him we may as well. He isn’t in the plans.

Not a Dyche type of player it is clear and due to his Gold Cup involvement interest / transfer price has increased. So must sell as we need the money

I honestly don’t even have the desire to explain myself any further on this.

Except to say, with our limited funds, Gnonto won’t be the answer to anything and not what they should be pursuing if indeed they are.

And of course, yes you pay more for what is considered better potential.
