Whilst I agree with the sentiment, and we did have the worry about what league we would be playing in, the work for this starts in January and even Dyche said when he came the work for the summer had already started.
This isn't unheard of and you always see multiple clubs getting their deals in place and order ready for preseason.
We are awful at transfers, this isn't down to us negotiating, we probably haven't even started considering targets - there's a reason our deals are always backloaded mate, its nothing down to negotiation.
We need to stop being last to the table and left with the scraps.
This is the thing a well run club has a transfer budget set by the board that is given to the DoF. Then the DoF and the manager decided on the players they want to bring in and the DoF negotiates the deals and brings in the players if they can and deduct the fee from their transfer budget.
But everton aren't a well run club are we. The DoF and manager have to decide on a player then go get the okay from the ceo. Then when they've give the go ahead they have to get the okay from the chairman. Then when he's said yes you have to get the okay from the owner, according to brands you have to go see on a bloody yacht in the Bermuda triangle somewhere.
Then when he gives to okay you have to go back to the chairman to get him to negotiate the deal. A chairman who such a expert at negotiating deals hes given every player we've signed since Moshiri took over double the wages their worth.
Is it any wonder why it takes so long at this joke of a club.
Were a multiple hundred million pound company and I know corner shops that are run better.
