….I’m not overly bothered about creativity from central midfield given our most successful teams had DMs who hardly crossed the half-way line (Kendall/Harvey; Bracewell/Reid) but they were very potent in wide areas (inc full backs).

I'd be happy if we had a solid defensive midfield and potent attacking full backs. Unfortunately we have neither

So bobble said Dyche views Iwobi as a centre mid/attacking mid not a winger so hopefully we can expect an addition there, we could badly use one.

Classic Everton to wait until deadline day before beginning their player search.

Whilst we all wish we'd done our business a bit quicker, this isn't really true, is it?

For the record, I'm firmly of the opinion that every day after the first day of pre-season is a day too late for bringing players in. However, I do know that it's not actually realistic to get all business done that early, but it would be nice if we could get one or 2 done early doors in future.

If the reports of Nico elvedi for 5m were true, we should be all over that. An experienced international for relatively small fee is what we need to give some composure at the back. Bin Keane off as well.
