I remember them being buzzing after signing a certain Javier Hernandez who had an almost identical goal scoring record in Germany, and our fans flapping thinking it was a boss signing and that we should’ve gone for him.

Hernandez was terrible in his 2nd season in Germany though, Bayer where laughing all the way to the bank with that deal. They got one good season out of him, but other than that, he was pretty awful. His goal scoring record flattered him that 2nd season. He was so slow and ponderous, like he was running through mud.

Haller has a lot more to his game, he is an all round good forward and a very good athlete to go with it. But I do actually agree with those who say it's a risk. He's had 1 really fantastic season playing on a very exciting attack minded team, and 1 solid season playing on the same team, but for a very defensive coach. So it's not a big sample size.

Joelinton is a decent attacker, but if Hoffenheim get anything like £30m for him, they should be investigated for daylight robbery.

My head is now off in dream land, imagining were buying Leao and Kean for a combined £60m. Its not too much of a stretch is it? Both unbelievably young, and could double in value from just one good season. I need a cold shower, or a slap to sort my head out.

I can’t see us getting both. It will be one or the other especially with Silva stating he didn’t want to stunt DCL’s development. He obviously rates him for some reason that baffles me.

I think Ndombole has as well for Spurs, I think some clubs do it for FFP regulations too, spreading cost out over a longer contract.
