I thought he meant from a starting the game standpoint but that makes sense. Personally I think that's overrated. City don't have their wingers roaming all over and neither do the RS. Ronaldo and Messi roam for their teams but the rest stay relatively close to their positions. To me getting a top notch creator and a goal scoring pure striker are the two most important things to kick our attack up another gear and Traore I don't think is either.
Maybe he wants Traore as Walcott, Lookman and Bernard did not add many goals last season and Richarlison had some goals where he was poor.
Let s see whom Brands signs but it seems Traore ticks most boxes / we watched Lyon games apparently / he supposedly wanted to sign him for psv

i would take Andy Caroll easily, great warrior when he is not injuried, class player for a substitute and way better than DCL (even if i like the kid)

Of curse we could have better but we need two more strikers and he is a free agent. I'll take him rather than NotSoWellbeck a hundred times.

If this isn't a wind up then I hereby renounce myself as an Everton fan and plan on supporting a team in Mongolian goat heading or something. Best of luck for the future.

I think he's too much of a goal scorer and not enough of a creator. We have Richarlison and Sigurdsson already scoring from midfield so we need to add more of a pure creator.
Eh, it's not a bad thing to have another goal scorer. But regardless,Traore isn't going to jump into the starting lineup, he'd be like a 20-25M squad player that would start in certain tactics and be a bench option in other matches. He's also an underrated crosser. Regardless, Silva wants a left footer to cut in and score just as much as create. And say we move for a Depay type to play CF that creates more than is a pure scorer. That would work fine with more goal scorers on the wings. Not saying that's going to happen, but it's a thought.

It isn’t though, is it?

We don’t need to be improving at left back, whereas Chelsea need to be improving at right back. Robinson is nowhere near the standard that Digne is at but James may arguably be a more effective right back than Azpilicueta is.

If you haven’t seen Reece James play then I understand why you’d say that but the lad is genuine quality.

I mean, Hudson Odoi, RLC, Zouma, Christensen, there are quite a few academy players that will play a significant role. James is pretty well thought of.

It's not going to happen, much like we aren't interested in Welbeck, or Brahimi, or any of those over the hill clowns.
