I think he’d be a pretty good fit. Great size, terrific in the air, great at setting up his teammates, skill level is high, can hold the ball up well, movement is good, will work without the ball. His issues would be pace and pure finishing. He’s not slow, but he’s also not super fast. He also scores goals, but he’s not what I would call a clinical finisher.

I’m sure Brands has his own valuation and is well aware of what West Ham are doing. Worse case scenario is that Everton pushes up the value for a competitor to overpay. West Ham needs improvements in central midfield badly, maybe worse than us. Not sure Gomes solves their problems, so let them bid.
He’s definitely coming here (in my opinion). If we can get him for under £25m it’ll be a great deal.
