Threads about Ashley Williams, Besic and Mirallas on the first page here. Soul destroying. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

It means the club is STILL scratching around the bargain basement and trying to do loan deals on deadline day.

TBF, you, like the rest of us, havnt got a clue what kind of players and deals were working on, everything we read is speculation and rumour, so if on the first game of the season we only have a bargain basement loan then feel free to post negatively about the club, but at this moment in time we have 8 weeks left of business

......bit of Toffee transfer gossip about this Sunday morning, here’s a summary for 16th June;

- The Liverpool Echo has asked Ajax winger, David Neres about reported interest from Everton. The player is quoted as saying; “I try to stay focused on what’s happening on the pitch and on the competition i’m playing in. I leave those things to my agent. Of course, the Premier League interests me, it’s the best league in the world but I leave that in the hands of God.” The Echo also quote Richarlison; “i’ve spoken to him about it already, I told him the doors are open for him there & that could help us a lot. I hope he comes, i’ve known him since we played together for Brazil U20s & he’s a guy I really get along with, hopefully i’ll see him there”.

- According to La Pagina Millonari, Everton’s move for Santiago Sosa is on the verge of collapse. An initial work permit application has been denied and Sosa does not have the documentation required for an EU Passport. Everton have agreed a £13m deal with River Plate but a move is unlikely without the EU Passport.

- Catalan newspaper Sport report it’s almost certain PSG will sign Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea & Jordan Pickford will replace him at Old Trafford. As a result, Everton want to sign Barcelona’s Dutch international keeper, Jasper Cillessen as soon as possible.

- Mundo Deportivo continue to say Everton are close to securing a deal for Barcelona midfielder, Andre Gomes.

- Football Gana suggest Everton are one of several clubs interested in 18 year old midfielder, Mohammed Kudus, who plays for Danish side, Nordsjaelland.

- Birmingham Live reckon Everton are monitoring young Coventry midfielder, Tom Bayliss. The 20 year old is valued at £3m.

- The Liverpool Echo pick up on reports saying Everton Director of Football, Marcel Brands, is a fan of Atletico Madrid’s 27 year old Right Back, Santiago Arias.

Pickford rumours aren't going away are they ?

To be honest, it's good that clubs are interested in our players again and being linked with Brazilians is just sexy.

I know I'm probably going to be laughed at here but I would like us to try and get Gareth Bale on loan. He has the right type of experience and is a left footed forward. Turns 30 in July so he is a little hence why I say loan not permanent but I think he still has plenty to offer and will definitely prove a few people wrong. Unfortunately we have no European football so I can't imagine him even giving us a 2nd thought.

He is on 600k a week at Real Madrid, I expect we could only offer a quarter of his wages...

I don't think they will get anyone to pay full wages. He wouldn't come anyways there will be a team with CL football come in for him. If we get up to top 4 in the future maybe a player like this will consider us. Given how Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and United finished this season maybe there is hope that if the stars align we can pinch top 4. Until then these players are just a dream.

Oh he’s real ok
Ricarlison has played with him
I’ve seen him on the telly as well
However we won’t be signing him for 80/90 m

If we are after him, I assume Brands will play it similar to Mina last year. Low ball them with a £25m-£30m offer and just sit patiently - Risking someone comes in with a higher bid - Waiting for Ajax to concede on the fee.

He said it’s a risky tactic previously, but the lad will know we are interested and put pressure on the club to accept - Particularly as the comments from the lad seem complimentary about us loosely given his dream to play in the Premiership.

If we miss out, I’m sure we will have other options lined up.

Of course their will be other factors at play.
