....Thursday 31st August is Transfer Deadline Day. Here's hoping you've all been good boys and girls so Jim White brings you what you've asked for by 11pm. Please find below the final rumour round up of the summer. Up the Toffees;

- The Express and French outlet, Foot Mercato, report Everton plan a deadline day approach for Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi. The 23 year old joined Chelsea from Marseille last year but has struggled to get into the side. Everton have also been linked with teammate, Diego Costa, but are not willing to match his wages.

- According to ESPN, Everton are in the race to sign Cardiff striker, Kenneth Zohore. BBC Sport say the Toffees have had an initial bid for the player rebuffed.

- FootballLondon suggest Everton's Ross Barkley is one of 3 players Chelsea are looking to bring in today. The Telegraph say Chelsea will have to stump up £10m more than their initial £25m bid to land Barkley. The Evening Standard say Spurs are also monitoring the Barkley situation.

- ClubCall website, Liverpool Echo and Daily Mail link Everton with a loan move for Barcelona defender Thomas Vermaelen.

- The Liverpool Echo report Hadjuk Split midfielder, Nikola Vlasic, has flown in for a medical with Everton ahead of an £8m transfer. Croatian outlet, Index, say there are complications with the deal because of annexes added to the players current contract and Everton face a race against time to get a work permit.

- The Daily Mirror says Leicester City will block any final day bids from Everton or Chelsea for striker, Jamie Vardy.

- MadaboutEPL website reckon Everton are considering a loan move for Watford's Italian forward, Stefano Okaka.

- According to Sportlens website, Everton winger Aaron Lennon has emerged as a surprise last day target for Burnley. Watford are also rumoured to be interested in the 30 year old.

- The Liverpool Echo report Everton U23s will chase targets on transfer deadline day as David Unsworth looks to bolster his squad.

- A bookmaker has slashed the odds of Timo Werner joining Everton but the Liverpool Echo says RB Leipzig will not want to lose any of their star players after a fantastic first season in the German top flight.
Great stuff Eggs (hopefully Contract Dave and co have been working as hard behind the scenes)!

Best possible scenario i can see today is us choosing to keep Barkley and instead of buying a cb - loaning one in like Vermaelen as we won't have the money from Barkely to spend now, Barkley re-signs a new contract today and it's trumpeted 'like a new signing' - overall that'd be just about acceptable

Giroud changes his mind with the turmoil going on at Arsenal and thinks 'f' it and jumps ship, OR the Costa to Athletico deal collapses and last minute rather than sit out a season he joins on loan.

Worst case scenario isn't even we do nothing, it's that we decide to sell Barkley for a knock down price, decide to keep hold of dead weight like Niasse, Lennon and McCarthy, and then throw 30-40m at an absolutely piss poor striker and hope the fee we pay covers the absolute turd of the quality we bought

A sad day today, the last of the summer migration

But its the end of the war.

One last fight for the Bedwetters and the Excuse makers.

Rumoured that the Bedwetter king has magic that can turn Excuse makers into Bedwetters.

I will watch from the sidelines and update throughout this special day. I wish you all good fortune in the wars to come.

P.S i still reckon James Collins is on

We need to take a gamble on a striker at this point I would say.

Not taking a gamble would be far worse.
