Stek wasn't crap for the first 20 games though. He was utterly immense for the first 5-7. Then went to utter utter tripe.

I doubt we'll get 5-7 decent games out of Martina. But hopefully won't need to.

I don't know why people are so arsed about this signing if it happens. He'll barely play.

I just disagree in bringing in a player whose inferior to players we've let go or will let go.

The line of he's only backup etc falls down due to Coleman's injury meaning he's out at least half the season and likely to miss more than that.

Martinez offers absolutely nothing to the team, if he plays its one position that effectively every opponent will be better than us in.

Either Kenny is deemed good enough and we have no need for this player, or he isn't and yet again we have no need for this player and need to bring in someone who can cover at a solid level until Seamus is back.

Genuine question then, why sign a player you don't ever want to have to play?
 
We need to change this 'lets snap him cos he is free and might fo a job' mentality if we are to genuinely challenge for top 4. We need players with a proven track record in big games. I'd rather spend 75 million on 2 or 3 top quality players with 150k or above wages if they are capable of winning us the derby and big games. Enough of the 'he is young so he will improve' mentality. We need results now, not 5 years from now. Barkley has had 4 seasons and is nowhere the player we thought he'd be. He is incapable of performing in big games. No thanks to Martina.
 

Can we please have a few more people claiming to have actual sources about signings or next week's big Weasel Index reveal is going to be a disaster ffs
