Summer Transfer Window 2017

Feyenoord defender Terence Kongolo has a younger brother at Man City so could be him. Can play CB and LB and is 6ft2 - so makes sense for our team. Fast and athletic too - cant see it happening though to be honest as he signed a contract extension last week for another year up until 2019.

Contract extensions mean jack these days.

How come when Koeman wants broken down Wayne Rooney we all should be backing the managers opinion but when he seemingly wants to sign "rubbish" Enner Valancia we all think he is being stupid and fear the worst?

If Koeman wants him then fine, lets see what happens.

Only player from West Ham we should have signed was Antonio but he's just signed a new 4 year deal. 9 goals and 5 assists this season he would have made an ideal back up forward/utility player playing up top and out wide.

It's the same every year, people flapping (they'll deny this obviously), about things that haven't happened yet.

I do it too. Martin De Roon FFS.

The rumours doing the rounds seem to be two entirely different calibre of players

Dendoncker, Tielemans, Klassen, Mertens, VVD, Manolas, Koulibaly, Pickford, Keane, Sigurdsson, Dolberg, Sandro, Kolasanic - all players who are either established top quality, or with the strong likelihood of becoming that.

then we have the likes of Knockaert, Valencia, Kucka, Martina - which all scream absolute mediocrity

Have a horrible feeling that the second group of players will be the list we shop from with maybe 1 or 2 of the lowest profile (Sigurdsson, Gibson, MacGuire) coming in from the first list IF we don't sell Lukaku

that happens then all the people with doubts over Moshiri would have been vindicated, really hope I'm wrong about that

I think it's a big summer for Moshiri. I know I sound a bit like the Righteous brother off Harry Enfield but if by the end of the summer we have lost Lukaku, Stones and Barkley while recruiting from the second list with the likes on Kenwright and Elstone still lurking about- a section of the fanbase are going to be massively disappointed.

I know we shouldn't judge a player based on one game but he was awful against Lyon.

He scored twice in the first leg, like.

He's like Bambi on ice though. I said it last week - if people think Rom's first touch is bad, God knows what they'd do to this guy.

...there was one moment in particular that had me shaking my head.

Twice in that game Klassen had the ball arriving to him in space on the edge of their box, obviously with a great chance to score, only for Traore to charge in and steal it just before it arrived to Klassen, and then proceed to cock it up, absolutely zero vision - he's just very very fast and hard working

He's the boro Traore, mixed with a bit of Deulofeu and a load of Paolo wanchoppe all rolled into one player

with lots of all 3's bad qualities

Agree to disagree mate, IMO anyway he should not even be getting considered to come in, we won't have a limitless pot of money this summer - we have very urgent first team needs and a need for 'quality' competition in some positions, we start pissing 5m here and there up the wall we will be left short in a few areas at least
That's why I think Koeman will try and shift as many players as possible this summer
There is about 80 m worth of players either out on loan or still here that Koeman doesn't want
If he can sell them he can get 2/3 players that will be in the mix for the starting 11
That's why I think Jags will be kept and Funes Mori sold if possible if we get 2 new CB
KOEMAN has said he want to work with 17/18 senior players and use the youth to bulk up the squad.
Injuries like Coleman ,Bolassie ,Bescic etc are the only worried with a smaller squad

We have mirallas, lookman and DCL who are our own players, none of whom are currently top notch.

Why add another to the list? Makes no sense to me...

We should be signing a top player if anything so the other 3 are rotation options
We need more than one recognised winger and a couple of, not ready, strikers though! Hardly think our forward line will be those 3 next season when there's 3 spots up for grabs. It's about competition for places with Koeman and again, we have a massive amount of games if we progress.

Likely we will see a cup team and a prem team?
