3 different leagues, lots of goals in each. Can't ask for more.

Holland - he did well.

Germany - he was judged a huge flop at first. Had a good half-season at Wolfsburg, who sold him while his stock was high.

Portugal - Yeh he's done well in a lower quality league.

Much better out there.

I know he was never the best player, but you're right, we've not replaced what he genuinely brought when he was on his game; the movement between the channels, filling space, drawing in defenders and above all, being a bit of a snide.

He's basically the perfect Koeman forward.

Can fill in anywhere across the front line, has good movement and works hard. Can finish when needed.

If Rom goes, we won't try to replace him like-for-like (not just in terms of style, but in terms of a focal point for our attack) imo.

i.e., I'd expect 3 signings that can all reliably chip in with 10-15 goals over the course of the campaign, as opposed to our current forward options after Rom, the joint-highest scoring of which is a full-back who's out until January.

Dolberg is showing Koeman why he's the forward for us with this tracking back and tackling.

But we won't sign him though, because Everton.

lol

Hopefully this Summer is the changing of that because Everton phrase and we start having players join "because Everton is the place to be"

Wouldn't argue mate, reminded me a lot of the lad at Boro this year, exciting but not exactly clued up

Like Goat, Klaasen impressed me the most tonight.

Dolberg is class, of course, but Klaasen was everywhere and hasn't put in a bad showing whenever I've watched Ajax this season.

Ziyech's been brilliant over there for a few years as well, and he's fulfilling his potential.

Not a clue who you lot are nattering about, but that is spot on.

Would take all 3 of them without much doubt really.

Naismith, royds.

Not that he'll be back, but in terms of the type of player Koeman likes to have up top, we just have to see the mix he had at Saints.

A target man - Pele.

A rapid, hard-working inside forward - Mane.

A 'playmaker' - Tadic.

A runner - Long.

We literally have Rom.

The rest all score, but not nearly enough.

I mentioned a few days ago, but if McCarthy is moved on, I think Klaasen may be a player we go for.

Would be brilliant in the role Davies is currently occupying.

Not that I want to see Davies not play, but with Europe etc we need quality options.

We also need another creative player from deep, which frees Ross up to play as part of the front line, where he has to play now IMO.
