Christensen will definitely be part of Chelsea's plans as will zouma. I'd love ake and more realistic. Great head on him and scores a few.

I'd personally love that Tammy Abraham to be thrown into the Lukaku deal, if he goes to Chelsea. 19 and scoring for fun I. Championship, I reckon he'd be an excellent addition.

Massive risk.

Patrick Bamford scored loads for Boro in the Championship on loan from Chelsea. And we've all seen how he's not made it at the higher level.

If Rom's going to Chelsea just get the cash and spend it.

This. Dolberg and tielemans and keane could be bought with the rom money.

I still think we will keep rom if we show early ambition.

Lukaku is going. We're gonna get a wedge for him.

It works both ways, he could be AMAZING, and we could have found a right gem, or he could be garbage, but we'd still have a huge wedge of lukaku dough.

Branford scored goals in a very good championship Middlesbrough side. Not knocking the lad, but it's easier to score I good teams than bad. Abraham has been banging them in (7 goals more than Bamford, with a game to go btw), for a team who are substantially worse than that Boro team.

He seems a very good talent and he'd be worth a risk for me.

Then again, I'd also take Zouma ,Christensen and a host of other Chelsea loaneees tbf!

I think we should focus on players like Kara Mbodji, De Vrij or Keane at most.

We're not getting close to VVD or Koulibaly.

You never know what might happen but I wouldn't rule out Koulibaly completely. We wanted him before and he'll know that and the only other club that wanted him when we did last summer, Chelsea, seem to if turned their attentions to other players, most notably van Dijk!

But I'm not too worried about us bringing in a CB or 2, there's plenty of quality out there to choose from, from the likes Keane, Maguire, Gibson, van Dijk, Koulibaly, Acerbi, Manolas, Rudiger, de Vrij, Davinson Sanchez, Veltman, Rubén Semedo, Nastasic, Tah, Bruma, Vestergaard, Laporte, Lemos, Gimenez, Inigo Martinez, Kara Mbodj, Engles, Kjaer, Musacchio to name a few....

So of all the various links of one sort or another.

Hopefully we do a mix of adding some of the very promising young players (Dolberg, Tielemans, Henry, Pickford, Keane) and some proven quality (VVD, Mertens, Sigurdsson, Kolasanic, Koulibaly, Rooney, Trippier)

Getting that blend right is the key to building a team that can eventually bridge the gap to the real top.

Where would Tielemans fit in ?
Rotating with Davies ??
Take ROSS out of the team. ??
A smashing player but more urgent positions to be filled

Tielemans is a CM that's more attack minded and wants to get forward and score a goal. Davies is a box to box CM and as a bit of everything about him. If anything he and Gueye would be rotated. Barkley isn't even trusted in CM anymore by Koeman and as been shifted out wide. He got his chance there Sunday and fluffed it massively. Koeman as said he wants a goal scoring CM to add goals to the team and he clearly doesn't see Barkley as that player. And Barkley doesn't get into our CM ahead of any of Schneiderlin, Gueye or Davies right now, and then if we get a more attack minded CM then where does Barkley fit in? Wide right still? Can't see it, think Koeman will look to sign someone for out wide, a proper winger or wide forward in the summer....

RK is on record as saying he prefers to work with a squad of 17/18 players and supplement them with younger players.
He said it's easier to keep them happy.
Problem is a couple of long term injuries like Coleman , Bolassie , Bescic and McCarthy and you are down to the bare bones.

A strong 18 is literally your first 11 and subs. I think that's what Koeman will try to do this summer, make the first 11 and subs very strong and maybe add 1 or 2 more so we have a strong and competitive squad all round and then bulk it out with the youngsters that he rates from the U-23's.

My view on Defoe is this; he is a goal scorer, a good one admittedly but just a poacher. If (IF) Lukaku stays and we are failing to break a team down it's more creativity that you need.
