Not worried about a box to box CM, Davies was immense today playing that role and he will only get better and more consistent. He is a special talent! Schneiderlin will sit, sweep things up and get the team playing, Gueye & Davies will chop and change for now with Davies being so young and be in the team to go box to box and haras players and get a foot in but they both can play, we just need an attack minded CM in there that gets good amounts of goals and assists! And I'm sorry to say but Barkley just isn't that player. Got his chance in CM today and fluffed his opportunity. It's no wonder Koeman shifts him out wide so he can get the other 3 I mention into CM!
Sigurdsson for me would be my No.1 choice. We could even sign him and use him in a forward 3 and look at someone like Tielemans or Klaassen as the attack minded CM to come in and add more goals, the pair of them this season are close to scoring 20 goals from midfield for their clubs! And both at a young age are captains of their clubs and for me that's a big thing, they have that leadership what are team lacks.
We obviously need a new GK and all know that, same goes for CB's! We need wide options cos without Bolasie were lightweight. Lookman is a talent but young and learning, Mirallas just doesn't cut it and the rest of our options are sh#%*!
And IF we can keep Lukaku, great, but if not we need to sign about 3 strikers that can come in and through out the season do their bit and cover Lukaku's loss of goals.
It's gonna be a massive summer for us and I hope Walsh and the board are already hard at work trying to get deals sorted behind the season cos we need to act fast once the season ends!
