Summer Transfer Window 2017

The squad needs some work Friend, no diggity.

I cant seem to find my squad analysis threads, im sure I highlighted the lack of striking options we didnt address in both windows.

I hope someone can find them and reshare them with us all

I hope we get it right soon as much as you or the next man mate. There's rules to follow to get there. Buying our way is more difficult since FFP and the massive TV deals which flood our competitors with money to recruit against us.

Success will come with dare I say it good strategy, time and some luck.

I think the problem lies with threads made highlighting the FFP and STCC made by Esk and Damo in the past.

People focus on the net spend and all manner of things.

Personally I feel the squad was stripped bare in the last 2 windows, players have been brought in of course, sadly 1 of thems legs fell off and others like Lookman and DCL will need time due to their age, others like the boy Morgan and the little fella in the middle have come in and thats the level of player we need going forward.

As im pretty sure ive highlighted numerous times over the last 12months, we need :

1 GK with does the GKing, the boy Pickford
2 CB, proper ugly monsters who kick first and look for the ball 2nd
1 Number 8 with utter, utter magic in their boots
1 number 10 who pulls that many strings they call him the puppet master
1 number 9 who does the Duncan
1 back up striker

Im available all summer if the Walsh fella is struggling to remove the pencil from his anus the utter fraud.

Sigurdsson for free kicks alone is worth it - he's not perfect in the field, but he and Ross would be great in attacking midfield.

We need to stop with the suggestion that we are getting Koulibaly AND someone like VVD. That's $100M right there. If we spent $50M on one of those two, we should be ecstatic. That is the cost of a world class player, however.

We certainly need better attacking players, though. Ideally someone that could go by someone occasionally from a wide area.

Obviously, GK is a huge need at this point, too. We are obviously going to have to sell McCarthy and several others. It's not impossible to make that top 4 jump even next year, but Ross/Rom have to stay. That simply has to happen.

Well done at knowing more than Walsh or Koeman mate. Send them your CV you dense walrus.

I expect £200 - £300m spend this summer.

It is required if we want the success this club deserves. Should have happened 12 months ago, but no excuses this time.

If Lukaku goes, then add another 100m spend to it.

Fed up of treading water.

Like your sentiments and I do agree but I can't see it. But I think we will spend over £100m this summer coming! I listen to Koeman and he speaks about IF we get the players he wants we'll be strong enough to challenge for top four but when you see the stories that City will be spending big (supposed £250m budget) and Utd want the likes of Griezmann at near on £100m, their looking at Belotti for £60-70m, a CM that will obviously cost a bit and a CB also at no doubt good money, Arsenal will no doubt spend and Chelsea and Spurs will who are both light years ahead of us right now, then we will have to spend big, and wisely, to try and bridge the gap if we're serious of having a go at the top four!

We are not spending in dollars Friend unless we see sense and buy Altidore
