Just being real. City, RS, United, Arsenal all are going to be dropping big loads this summer. Primarily on defence.
We'll have to do one hell of a money talk to snatch players from them.

Nah, that's what we've done already, we've been "best of the rest" for the last decade, just martinez' two bad seasons, but chelsea were there last year, the RS have been there a lot lately, whenever these teams don't have europe to worry about they seem to flourish a lot more, we're definitely not miles off, RS lost to place, united drew with swansea and man city drew with boro in their respective last games and this is something they keep doing. We're closer than where we were under moyes, although there is just more teams competing now, but we have the money to buy players like siggurdson as well as others from europe that will do more than just consolidate 7th, which should always be our minimum aim for a season. We can't get world class obviously, but we can attract some CL standard players imo.
We can't offer Champions League football, never mind FFP and pay harmony amongst our existing top players. Doesn't work like FIFA TRex lid.
My expectations are very high this summer but so they should be with a billionaire owner who made a profit last year and a team on the field showing signs of improvement. Why should we settle for second best and fall well behind.

It's not always about money.
I'd be the happiest man if we managed to get in VVD or Koulibaly. But I don't see it happening. We're not that big, yet.
Other teams have just stuck 2 fingers up to fifa and paid the FPP fine. That's the sort of Everton I want to see.
It confuses me that we have people putting everything down to amounts spent by bigger teams because money talks. But then the same people are saying our money doesn't talk because of X, You and Z. If we dont spend massive this year we will struggle because out squad is too small for Europe and we can be sure other teams above us will also spend big.

Also make sure to mark the 60% transfer increase option as active.
