Summer Transfer Window 2017

The only players in our current first XI I wouldn't try to replace if I could this summer (due to Coleman's injury) are Schneiderlin, Gueye, Davies, Lukaku and perhaps Williams. I'd keep Williams in if we played a back 3. That's about it.

It's a shame that buying 6 first XI players would cost the annual GDP of a small nation and probably get us perma-banned from Euro competition, but we've got to show ambishun.

Do they put two fingers up to the sanctions? What about if you want to play in any UEFA competition like, oh let's say, the Champions League that we aspire to?

I get the impatience mate but it doesn't work in the simplistic way you're inferring it does.

Still we can post on here and scream AMBISHUN and that will get Everton into the top four.

We can only keep saying we tried but were just really unlucky for so long. Eventually we do need to get it right.

We've obviously a lot more chance of getting it right with RK and the Mosh than Moyes and BK. And hopefully there is a plan for this summer unlike the mess we seemed to have last time out.

I hope we get it right soon as much as you or the next man mate. There's rules to follow to get there. Buying our way is more difficult since FFP and the massive TV deals which flood our competitors with money to recruit against us.

Success will come with dare I say it good strategy, time and some luck.

MorgsFrand I am looking at our forward options today and, can I say it how I feel it?

Apart from Lukaku it is not good

The squad needs some work Friend, no diggity.

I cant seem to find my squad analysis threads, im sure I highlighted the lack of striking options we didnt address in both windows.

Sig is looking class against UTD and is a lot quicker than i thought. Great movement and link up play. Imagine him and ross together.

I don't think Barkley will be here next season. But Sigurdsson showed today that he'd be ideal for us. That FK was just sublime. That kind of ability in our team next season will be the difference between sh** draws like at West Ham and taking 3 points instead!

You think we should spend 400million pounds and if we don't we are "treading water"?!

Over to you Mr Moshiri!

And to think I was miserable after losing to Chelsea. Not with 400million sloshing into the greasy hands of the very finest quality footballers - I'm absolutely delighted at the prospect.

I fully expect the war chest to increase once we are out of April.
