Honestly swear this forum is a bipolar disorder forum
Agree he's not for me. I'm actually praying that Swansea survive so it makes it less likely that we'll sign him!Gylfi proving that he's just a deadball specialist and nothing else.
Pyar crap
It's all about finding a balance, we sign a lot of players in the range of 27-29 for example, and the rest are very untested kids like Lookman and DCL etc, then we could be facing a lot of money spent and in two years time a squad with the majority - again - the wrong side of 30 and with the younger players possibly not developing to a high enough standard.
Buying youth is good, but the 'punts' on lower league players has to be balanced by calculated purchases of players just breaking through and on the verge of becoming special players (Dolberg and Tielemans both come into that category)
Pickford is a good start on that front, and whilst we arent gonna be spunking 300m or silly numbers on transfers, we should find a balance of spending on proven players - and spending on those who have the potential of far exceeding those proven players.
For example - for every Rooney type signing - it has to be balanced with a Dolberg, for every Williams - it needs to be balanced by a Keane etc
Agree mate.
BTW, just chatting to a journo mate who is a huge Ajax fan and works over in Amsterdam closely with the club.
Mentioned their game the other night, and how impressive they were and in particular Dolberg/Klaassen being ideal for Everton.
He said the common consensus is that Dolberg is going nowhere barring a ridiculous offer (i.e. £40mil+).
Klaassen he said is the most likely to leave - though wouldn't be one to force himself out - but that he's the most likely to go if any of them. Aim is for them to keep that squad together though, so any sales would only happen if they're big money.

Then simply offer it for Dolberg mate, he is worth it, sad reality for Ajax is they just won't be able to turn down really big fees if they are actually tabled - regardless of there intentions
