Dont quote me on it, unless it comes off and then you can all say i was right, if im wrong though i'm still right as i can just say "something changed"

So if Burnley wouldn't sell, why didn't we just whack a few more million on our bid then, agree for them to keep him till end of season and we know for a FACT that we have got our target.
Waiting and pondering and thinking "we are in with a chance in the summer" we are always going to get out done by the Man Utd's and Chelsea's of this world.
No way would someone pick us ahead of those teams if there was interest in them
I agree. Keane could go to United and be rotated or benched. The same at City or Chelsea or he can come here and play 38 games managed by one of the best defenders to play the game. They might do in a World Cup Year if they are guaranteed game time.
I really hope the people who make the decisions at the club are less down on the club than the fans are!

It'll come down to what type of lad Keane is and what he wants. Was he released by United originally or did he leave to get game time?
there is no such thing as an ITK. There are people that are well informed but no-one really knows what's happening. I like Esk and i think his insight and understanding of how Football finances work. But saying something is done is a dangerous game to play. Until a player has actually signed a contract nothing is certain. Just look at Rom – I read that everything was agreed and he basically had the pen in hand before having a change of heart. Insight and opinion is great but it’s not fact and if people take it as such then they’re just as much to blame as the blag ITKs.
I'm not down on the club at all pal.
I just recognise that we have to be quicker with our targets then say Man Utd or Chelsea as in this country they are who the players want to go to.
Someone like Michael Keane would walk into United back four so i don't believe the "he will get guaranteed game time here" thing.
Gary Cahill is the perfect example of why these players will always back themselves to get into the best teams, look at what he has won. But when he signed for chelsea was he thinking "nah" i'll go to Spurs or West Ham instead so i can play every week.
He was thinking " Chelsea will win stuff, im going to back myself to get into the side and be a success
This is comical. He's considerably taller than Reins. Milik is 6'2" and he's definitely a couple inches taller than Milik. There are about 100 pictures if these guys next to each other.Said that last summer, there's a picture of him next to Reina around, and they are pretty much the same height, no way the lads 6'5 unless Reina grew in his mid 30's about 3 inches
Think he was released.
He was/is a big United fan though.
I'm wary of him I must admit. He has looked good this year but how much of it is down to a good partnership with Mee? I remember everyone getting giddy over Roger Johnson when he was at Birmingham and him and Scott Dann had a great partnership.
Keane has had the being jibbed off by a "big club" stuff before though.
We are hopefully a club with a bright future, maybe he wants part of that?
Stop it neildidnt know you actually had any
Without using Gary Cahill as my only ever example, he had been jibbed by Villa also, when he left Bolton did that stop him from going to a big club?
I 100% agree with your we are a club with a bright future things, I am just wary of how some of the "old guard" of the board deal with things.
I just think we should of got in there early with Keane, even if it meant over paying a little and got a deal agreed with Burnley and the player to ensure none of these other clubs came swooping in to challenge us.
Its all if's and buts, but lets say Liverpool and Arsenal also wanted Schneiderlin in January, who do you think he would of chose to go too? (I know that Utd wouldnt of sold to either of Arsenal or Liverpool but just say if they would of)
