...Rooney could be on his way here according to this;

VVD and Koulibaly are brilliant players without doubt, but to me the are simply too expensive at 50M+.
Using some of the more commonly discussed players in these pages..... For ~50M you can have:
VVD.....
or.....Manolas AND Maguire
or.....De Virj AND Gibson
or even....Keane AND Sigurdsson
I would prefer any of those 3 combinations to just VVD or Koulibaly.
(says this realizing that in all likelihood we will sign none of the players above)
Manolas would be 40mil or more now that monchi has joined roma...
If it was a choice of VVD / Koulibaly or De Vrij + Gibson
VVD or Koulibaly every single time....star players make a huge difference

Sorry for being a snidey arse mate, rough day at work
Slight difference in price for the two pairings.

For whatever doubts we may have about what he will bring to us on the pitch, I'm absolutely certain he will have a huge influence on which players we can attract.
Be shocked if his imminent arrival isn't included in the conversation with every player and agent we approach.
Regardless his declining ability Rooney is still has a lot of reputation as a playerHow would that entice anyone? Former England player whose been poor for a while is joining us....
6 goals in 32 matches? I would suggest this particular 'goal machine ' is bust!...Rooney could be on his way here according to this;

Because, whatever you may think mate, it would do.
For many, many reasons.
The bloke is still massively respected by players and managers. Is still young enough to not be regarded as a joke signing.
Classing the best best player this club has ever produced. United and England's all time scorer and the one player who crossed Ferguson and wasn't booted out the club as just a former England player is absurd.
The pulling power of him towards getting younger players to join especially would be huge.
Yes, Zat is correct. 1 of those two vs. both of the others.I meant id rather have VVD or Koulibaly (which I thought he was saying hed have both de vrij and Gibson)
Id take 1 centre back of star quality rather than 2 good ones.
