do feel a bit sorry for the lads in control of transfers, seems like we got properly shafted by giroud and fairly late in the window too, i can't blame them for not giving up on giroud as we were so keen on him and believed it'd be done.

We seem to have been in for about 8 strikers now and keep getting shafted. All very well saying we knew lukaku was leaving ages ago, but it's obviously not as easy as all of you seem to think to get all 3 parties to agree to a deal.

Don't feel bad for their incompetence mate, they're probably getting paid 6 figures to balls up this window

On paper we won't be making any ground on the top 6, but you never know I suppose, stranger things have happened.

WBA or Stoke are just as likely to break into the top 6 as us. Weaker than last year, all the teams who finished above us stronger except maybe Arsenal but they still got Sanches, Lacazette, Welbeck and Giroud as strikers while we have Dominique Calvert-Lewin.

But what a day it's been Bungle! Kicked off pre dawn fishing in Cornwall , then having to deal with jostling crowds of people, the Lady Di commemorations, early TDD activity, driving to Devon to see Uncke Gerald and Aunty Pauline (Barnstaple), lovely pub dinner and now just settling in to catch the last hour of the Jim White show.

I honestly don't think any of the sides you have mentioned have a sniff of breaking into the top 6. It will be same old, same old.
