Imagine wanting to be like Chelsea and Juventus

You cannot sell your better players and not replace if you want to progress or be respected

Imagine not understanding I'm having a laugh at those being somehow annoyed a player would choose Chelsea (Llorente) or Juventus (Howedes) over us. This thread has literally no perspective to it and has gone beyond embarrassing now.

slowly turning into a disaster of a window, 36 hrs to turn it around.
Mate. Nothing that will happen in the next 36 hours will make it a disaster of a window. It may well turn out to be the worst end to a window ever, but it won't completely overturn all the good we did early in the window. We'll still have a stronger squad, but a worse starting XI. The thing that makes it most annoying/frustrating, is that just one or two more quality players in the right positions would have made it the best window ever. Nt just for us but arguably for any premier team.

The daft thing is, had we done all our business in the last week rather than in June/July, people would probably be saying it's been a decent window. I liken it to a 2-2 draw. But instead of coming back from a 2-0 deficit we've conceded 2 in injury time. Everton that.:(

Anyway. Hope springs eternal.

For all the money in the world, replacing Lukaku was never going to be easy. Yes I'd have liked it done sooner (or at all) but has no one considered maybe no quality striker that we'd all be happy with even wants to come here? It's not all about the money for some players otherwise the likes of Spurs wouldn't be able to keep anyone.
